In March 2009 NHS East Midlands ran an advert to remind people that the region has the lowest number of MRSA and C difficile in England. The advert featured a nurse gelling her hands, a cleaner mopping a hospital corridor, a maintenance man installing a gel dispenser and a young girl washing her hands. All of which demonstrate how everybody has been working Hand in Hand to fight infection together.
In March 2008 four adverts on hand hygiene were broadcast on ITV. The adverts were commissioned by NHS East Midlands and reminded viewers when to wash their hands and how important hand hygiene is in helping reduce the spread of infections.
