CMACE

The Centre for Maternal and Child Enquiries (CMACE) is an independent charity dedicated to improving the health of mothers, babies and children.

They do this by carrying out national confidential enquiries and other related audit and research work on a UK wide basis. 

 

ChiMat

ChiMat is now hosting a national website for Maternity Services Liaison Committees at:  http://www.chimat.org.uk/resource/view.aspx?QN=MSLC_ABOUT

 

The site was initially established through funding from the Department of Health (DH). From March 2010, DH asked the Child and Maternal Health Observatory (ChiMat) to host the website. ChiMat have transferred the site and are developing a plan to continue its development and use.

The website hosts a range of resources and there is the facility to subscribe to an E-bulletin. It also has a webpage related to the supervision of midwives, entitled “Staff support”.

Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaenocologists

The RCOG encourages the study and advancement of the science and practice of obstetrics and gynaecology. We do this through postgraduate medical education and training development, and the publication of clinical guidelines and reports on aspects of the specialty and service provision. The RCOG International Office works with other international organisations to help lower maternal morbidity and mortality in under-resourced countries.
