On the 12th July 2010, the goverment released the NHS White Paper, Equity and excellence: Liberating the NHS, which sets out the long-term vision for the future of the NHS.
The Inclusion Directorate facilitated consultation sessions with key stakeholders from the East Midlands (members included; NHS Equality and Inclusion leads, voluntary organisations including statutory partners, service users and carers) to discuss and provide feedback on the proposed changes to the NHS. Also, Equality and Inclusion leads from the Strategic Health Authoritys', took part in a national collective consultation.
