Dear Sir/Madam,

Re: Request for information under the Freedom of Information Act from East Midlands Strategic Health Authority regarding your childcare voucher scheme

I write to you to request the following information regarding your childcare voucher scheme under the Freedom of Information Act:

1.     Number of employees in your organisation

2.     Number of employees using the childcare voucher scheme

3.     Current childcare voucher scheme provider

4.     Current service charge of your childcare voucher scheme

5.     Renewal date for childcare voucher scheme contract (if applicable)

6.     Will East Midlands Strategic Health Authority go through a tender process when renewing the contract to choose a voucher provider?

7.     Do you use a framework agreement to choose your childcare voucher provider?

If yes, can you please supply me with the name of the framework agreement?

Our Response

I refer to your email of 15 November 2011 requesting information in respect of childcare voucher schemes.

I can confirm in accordance with S.1 (1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) that we do hold the information that you have requested.  I shall address each of your points in turn:

1. Number of employees in your organisation

  • Total staff NHS Midlands and East, East Midlands office Nottingham = 170

2. Number of employees using the childcare voucher scheme

  • 17

3. Current childcare voucher scheme provider

  • Computershare Voucher Services Ltd

4. Current service charge of your childcare voucher scheme

  • 3.5% of voucher value

5. Renewal date for childcare voucher scheme contract (if applicable)

  • Not applicable

6. Will East Midlands Strategic Health Authority go through a tender process when renewing the contract to choose a voucher provider?

  • N/A as value of contract is under £50k

7. Do you use a framework agreement to choose your childcare voucher provider?

  • No

8. If yes, can you please supply me with the name of the framework agreement?

  • N/A
