I am writing with regards to a Freedom of Information request.
After reading a recent article on e-health insider, it was reported that NHS Yorkshire and the Humber have a contract in place with ReStart Consulting to support the Strategic Health Authority in integrating all 15 trusts within their region. Funding was “ring-fenced” by the SHA “to assist trusts in rolling Ensemble, through a single service provider - ReStart Consulting” (http://www.ehi.co.uk/features/item.cfm?docId=335).
Please can you provide information on the following:
(a) Does your NHS Organisation have any funding “ring fenced” for working with such integration consulting services?
(b) If so, and there are contracts in place, can you please provide information on (1) who the contract is with and (2) what the contract covers?
Our Response
I refer to your email requesting information in respect of ring-fenced funding to assist trusts in rolling Ensemble through a single service provider.
I can confirm in accordance with S.1 (1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) that we do not hold the information that you have requested. NHS East Midlands does not have any funding “ring fenced” for working with such integration consulting services.
