I would like to know the total suicide rates per population in each Trust mental health trust served area for the last 10 years, broken down into those in contact and not in contact with those mental health trusts.

I refer to your email requesting information in respect of suicide rates in the East Midlands.
I can confirm in accordance with S.1 (1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) that we do not hold the information that you have requested.
However, Section 16 of the FOIA places a duty on us to provide help and assistance where necessary. You should therefore consider contacting local Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) separately for this information as individual PCTs may have undertaken studies which might have brought such data together.
