I would like to request the following information from either the procurement department or the Waste Management/Recycling department.

Date of the next tender for the “Collection and Disposal of WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) and Batteries.

Also a copy of the previous successful tender for the collection and disposal of WEEE.
Our Response
I refer to your email requesting information in respect of waste disposal arrangements at NHS East Midlands.
After considering the substance of your request it has been assessed as falling within the ambit of the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (the ‘Regulations’). I can confirm that NHS East Midlands does not hold the information that you require.
However, I can advise you that we do have an arrangement with Derbyshire Health Informatics Service for them to dispose of the majority of the electrical equipment we have which is in the form of computers, laptops and screens. We have no formal tender in place for this.
Other electrical equipment which fails such as fridges for example, are disposed of through ad hoc arrangements using appropriate disposal companies.
