Scope
To work in support of developing a diagnostic tool to support consortia to understand and prioritise their development needs, to assess their preparedness for authorisation and to make, buy, share and build decisions. It is essential that GP consortia and their leaders demonstrate key skills in commissioning and financial management whilst getting to grips with leadership and organisational development issues. GP Consortia also need to address the known areas of weakness, and understand as yet unknown capability or capacity gaps. They should be able to determine the right operating model so they will have access to the right technical skills to get best value healthcare from their given budget.
