Methadone Use

Request

I would like to request the following information:

1. The number of patients currently receiving methadone.

2. Statistics on the length of time they receive treatment with methadone, with demographics if possible.

3. The expected length of time a patient will receive the drug.

in whichever format is most convenient for you.

I refer to your email of 3 February requesting information in respect of methadone use.   

I can confirm in accordance with S.1 (1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 that NHS East Midlands does not hold the information that you have requested.   

However, the following organisations should be able to assist you:-

The National Treatment Agency (NTA)

  • The NTA is a special health authority within the NHS, established by Government in 2001 to improve the availability, capacity and effectiveness of treatment for drug misuse in England.

·        DATs are the partnerships responsible for delivering the drug strategy at a local level.
